Developers are invited to attend an all-day XDI Hackathon that will show developers how to develop privacy applications and services using XDI¹ to inter-operate with Respect Network personal clouds.

The Respect Network is a new global private network of personal and business clouds that use the OASIS XDI (Extensible Data Interchange) protocol for encrypted peer-to-peer communications. As a decentralized, multi-provider network similar to the global banking or email networks, the Respect Network is a platform for new apps that leverage trusted private relationships and semantic data interchange.

Markus Sabadello XDI2 Lead Developer will lead this full day hackathon for developers to learn the Respect Network Core Service APIs, Personal and Business Cloud APIs, and Respect Connect Authentication/Authorization API to build a new app and put it into service on the network. Respect Network CTO Andy Dale and Meeco CTO Derek Munneke will also be available for higher level technical and strategic conversations.

Event details

Please note: the hackathon is only available to the first 20 registrations. Registrants will need to have purchased a cloud name² before attending.

Event details: Tuesday 8th July, 2014.
