This commitment hasn’t wavered over the years. The last 18 months have seen the Meeco team double by growing our Australian, Belgium and London offices.

We are delighted to announce that after months of preparation we have been granted ISO 27001:2013 certification. We sat down with Neil Campbell, Meeco’s Head of Security and Compliance to get a bird’s eye view of the journey.
What is ISO 27001?
ISO 27001 is the leading international standard for information security, published by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
What is the importance of achieving ISO 27001 certification?
ISO 27001:2013 provides the framework for a best practice Information Security Management System (ISMS). The importance of this to any organisation is that it provides an independent assessment of the organisation’s security practices, and ensures that their policies, procedures and KPIs are appropriate to deliver high levels of security in all aspects of operations and management.
The power and utility of Meeco’s products and services are dependent on customers being able to trust that their data is securely held, and that the services underpinning the product are delivered based on Security by Design principles. Meeco’s ISO 27001 certificate is a clear indication that our security policies and processes meet the stringent levels demanded by the standard across all aspects of our operations. This is what our customers and partners should expect from an organisation that puts security at the heart of its product design and operations.
What did the process entail?
The preparation for Meeco’s ISO 27001 certification audit took months of internal planning. This was driven by our desire to ensure that security principles and processes were established and embedded into the DNA of the organisation; and not simply to gain a certificate. This meant huge collaboration between different internal departments such as the Security Team, Engineering Team and Product Team. As a result of our combined effort, we achieved ISO 27001 certification at first attempt, without any non-compliant items to address.
What does this mean for Meeco going forward?
Meeco has set a high bar in its achievement of ISO 27001 certification, but the work doesn’t stop there. Meeco has a program of continuous improvement in its security practices and procedures to make sure that we are always vigilant in delivering the best outcomes for our customers and partners.
These efforts support our robust technology offer: a mature and enterprise-ready suite of products backed by solid risk management practices, security and code management.
